Co-op Happenings in February 2012

Military & Border Patrol Appreciation Weekend February 4th and 5th. All Border Patrol and active duty and retired military will receive a 10% discount as our way to say thanks for all you do!

Senior Discount Day is Tuesday, February 7th. People 65 years or older will receive a 5% discount.

OPEN HOUSE at the Sierra Vista Food Co-op will be Thursday, February 9th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Meet the board members and General Manager, Chris Roland. Snacks will be provided. Help our team continue to make improvements to the Co-op.

We Have Nearly Doubled Our Produce Space

Check out the new produce cooler at the Sierra Vista Food Co-op, now fully stocked with several varieties of organic fruits including apples, pears, cranberries, plums, oranges, limes and grapefruit! In our expanded produce section you will also find all organic baby romaine, baby spinach, leaf lettuce, carrots, broccoli, green beans, tomatoes, pumpkins, squash, bags of russets, and in the loose potato bins red, russet, Yukon gold and purple potatoes. Did you know that non-organic potatoes are among the highest in pesticides, as are apples? So keep healthy and buy organic fruits and vegetables at the co-op this season.

Yams include Red Garnet, Beauregard, and several new varieties.

Board of Directors Monthly Meeting Tuesday, March 6, 2012

The board meeting will be Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 6 pm in the meeting room at the co-op.

In 2012, board meetings will be held on the LAST TUESDAY of each month. Except when they aren't.
